Camping at Horning’s Hideout

 

We are a private campground, not an RV park, meaning no long term camping over 4 days.

Horning’s Hideout tent and RV camping season is open. Camping is by reservation, please call or email.

If you cancel more than a week prior to your camping date we do have a 20% booking fee, if you cancel within 7 days there is no refund at all.

Check in and check out is from noon till noon. For those that play disc golf, your disc golf fees are also covered during this time, noon till noon. If you wish to play past noon you can, simply pay the day use fees of $5 per person that applies after 12 pm.

  • Sites

    Tent camping is either in the woods or in more open areas.

    RV sites have power and water hook-ups with a septic dump on site

    Camping is available with reservations, please call or email for a camping site.

  • Costs

    Individual tent camping is $36/night up to 3 people

    RV camping is $40/night up to 3 people.

    Over 3 people is an additional $12 per person for both tent and RV camping

    Fishing and Paddle Boats are not included in camping.

  • Timing

    Check in time is before 6 & price doubles after 6 pm

    Reserved spots from 12 pm - 12 pm the following day

  • Please be aware that our summer weekend RV sites are normally booked our with wedding guests

    • Friday, Saturday, & Sunday we will have late wedding celebrations going on, so there will be late night noise.

  • The Forest Service does not allow campfires. Fire season is typically July through September, so please being propane stoves to cook during this season

  • There are other local campgrounds that you can park your RV at and commute to Horning's for the concert such as:
    Stub Stewart State Park 1-800-452-5687 about 15 miles away

We have great picnic grounds that offer great views of the lake and the rest of the Horning’s Hideout!

No Equipment Necessary

Our large, reservable picnic areas feature a covered pavilion outfitted with barbecue pits, and built in tables around the lake.

  • Hours for family picnics are from 9 am until 8 pm everyday during summertime hours

  • Company picnic hours are from 11 am until 8 pm

For an additional fee you can rent paddle boats, discs for disc golf, and horse shoes

There are picnic areas for both small or large groups, so we can accommodate sizes from small families up to a thousand people for your company picnic.
