Are campfires allowed?

Campfires are allowed except during concert events and during fire season. Fire season is usually July through September. During this time absolutely no campfires (in a container or not) or open flames such as tiki torches or open candles are allowed. Please bring a propane stove to cook with.

Usually there are fires allowed from October through about the end of June, depending on weather. We have movable fire pits (we move them out during fire season), so when you can have a fire please use them so that there is no evidence of fire on the ground. That way during fire season campers will not mistake scorch marks on the ground as a fire area.

Is there food at concert events?

A variety of independent vendors sell food and crafts for the duration of most events, with the food prices being very reasonable.

Ice and bottled water are also usually available for purchase too.

Smoking Policy

No Vaping or Smoking of any kind. Although marijuana is to be legal to smoke in private residents in Oregon, you can not, as always, smoke marijuana here at Horning's Hideout, not even Medical marijuana. We are a park that is open to the public, so smoking here is still illegal and will not be tolerated. It is also still illegal Federally, and Federal fines for venues who allow any marijuana use are severe, so our rules for no smoking will continue to apply. The choice will be confiscation and destruction of the drug or you leaving immediately. This is to ensure that Horning's Hideout continues to operate for you far into the future!

What should I bring with me for special events/concerts?

During concerts Horning’s Hideout offers camping but no power or water hook ups. Think of a canyon in the Pacific Northwest and make sure you bring warm clothes and a warm sleeping bag for our sometimes cool evenings and a water-tight tent.

Please remember NO OPEN FIRES | NO CANDLES! This is a wooded canyon, so campfires and candles during events are strictly forbidden. Violators will have wrist bands cut and expelled. Smoke only in designated areas. In case of fire do not try to drive out, follow instructions of concert staff and proceed to safe areas. Safe camping stoves (propane, off the ground) are permitted, though in dry seasons there may be designated cooking areas. Plenty of food will be available for sale at very reasonable prices.

Drinking water is also available for no fee.

During concerts an ATM will be onsite. We encourage patrons to bring enough cash to last the three-day weekend.

Portable toilets and hand washing stations are located throughout the Hideout.

Telephones will be available to the public for local calls. Calling cards will be necessary for long distance calls.
