COVID-19 Update: Sunday, March 22nd
With much consideration for the safety of our community, we have made the difficult decision to close our facility as of Monday, March 23rd. As you are aware, the situation with the virus in evolving quickly, and we must do our part to keep you and your families safe. We will re-open as soon as we can, please check back. Horning's Hideout is a magical place for forming lasting memories while secluded away from the city hustle and bustle. From our wonderful Oregon outdoor wedding sites where you are in a world of your own to trout fishing with the kids, your experience here will bring a life time of smiles.

We are Currently closed to all, please check back later! Fishing, paddle boats and camping are now closed due to the virus, we are watching as everyone else and will reopen when we can.

We have all that you need to host the outdoor activities of rainbow trout fishing, disc golf, picnicking, camping, concerts and of course we are an amazing and well loved Portland Oregon outdoor wedding and reception venue! During concerts we are closed to all other activities, so please check our calendar page to make sure we are open.

To keep our place people friendly and for everyone's safety, access around the lake and most areas are only by foot and not by car, so other than for camping or weddings please be prepared to carry your gear. And of course we are dog friendly (except during concerts), though dogs need to be on a leash, in owners control at all times and be other dog friendly .

How to get here

Horning's Hideout is located just 35 minutes west of Portland in North Plains

  • From Portland Take Highway 26 West approximately 15 miles to Exit 57, North Plains/Glencoe Road.
  • Turn right (North) from the exit onto Glencoe Road.
  • Take Glencoe Rd. approximately 1.5 miles to a left fork that is Pumpkin Ridge Road.
  • Follow Pumpkin Ridge Rd. for 5 miles to a right fork onto Brunswick Canyon Road .
  • Follow Brunswick Canyon Road 1 mile down into the canyon.

  • If you are coming from the coast, you can hook up with 26 East from Hwy 101.

    If you are coming either North or South on I-5, or on I-84 through The Columbia River Gorge, you'll drive into Portland and take the I-405 loop to 26 West, then follow the directions above - Horning's is very easy to find.
