Horning's Hideout has four challenging disc golf courses!
Rated in the Top 30 out of 4,600 Courses in the World!
Oregon now has four 18 hole disc golf courses at one facility, right here at Horning's! The most 18 hole disc golf courses at any one spot west of the Mississippi River! Not only that, but Disc Golf Course Review has rated our Meadow Ridge course among the top 25 courses out of over 4,600 world wide!!
We just created our fourth course by permanently placing 2 baskets per hole on our Gold Tee championship, the long throw course, Meadow Ridge! The second course within Meadow Ridge is about the same throw length as our Blue Tee course, the Canyon course! The new baskets on the long position are Innova Pro baskets too!
So we now have one Red Tee course (short throw), two Blue Tee courses (tournament size), and a Gold Tee course (Championship tournaments!)
Affordable play for everyone!
A full day of play comes with our general entrance fee of only $5 per person, making this a very affordable sport for even a large family! We also have season passes for disc golf. For the entire year they'll be going for $100, and as the year goes by they'll be pro-rated by the month.
Fun for Families and All Skill Levels
For those unfamiliar with disc golf, the disc is much like a Frisbee but closer to the discus used in the Olympics and the target is a basket device equipped with hanging chains above the basket to knock the disc into the basket. It's a great sport, and the courses are challenging, fun for both the professional disc golfer, families and novices of all ages. As in the rest of our park, we are open every day for disc golf!
The courses are through both fields and woods, making for a great scenic hike with lots of family fun. Meadow Ridge is a championship course, a full par 3, par 4 and par 5 course. Within Meadow Ridge is a shorter second course that is a full par 3 and par 4 course. The next course is the Canyon course, a full par 3 to par 4 course, and the third course is the Highland course, a challenging pitch and putt course (short distance but accuracy really counts) which is great fun for families! The Highland course also has solar lights on both the tee pads and targets, so it's a permanent night course too!
Although marijuana is to be legal to smoke in private residents in Oregon, you can not, as always, smoke marijuana here at Horning's Hideout, not even Medical marijuana. We are a park that is open to the public, so smoking here is still illegal and will not be tolerated. It is also still illegal Federally, and Federal fines for venues who allow any marijuana use are severe, so our rules for no smoking will continue to apply. The choice will be confiscation and destruction of the drug or you leaving immediately. This is to ensure that Horning's Hideout continues to operate for you far into the future!
